Grandma Again!

I have so enjoyed my daughter's and friends blog account and now some of my friends, that I decided it was time I got caught up in the "technology" world! I don't know that I will be so good at keeping up the sight, but Maybe it will help me journal a little better!







We were so excited to welcome our newest member to the family last week. Matthew Coey. It was an honor to have his middle name after my father. I only hope my dad can have some moments of recognition to appreciate the honor. It's crazy how all of sudden your posterity starts to double! When Rachel has her baby in November we will have the same amount of grandchildren as we do children....AND...I am not sure I have totally adjusted to the name grandma. That's okay, they call me bomma, so maybe I can take a little longer to adjust! Yesterday it hit me that we are in the "older" crowd when Randy sat down and the little boy, about 3, sitting next to him called him grandpa and wanted him to play with him. Of course, Randy loves being grandpa and loves little kids, so it made his day that a child would recognize him with a tender name as "Grandpa"

We are part of the "Sandwich" Generation now. Worried about aging parents, young married adults, college kids, and still one at home! So.. I am glad to see summer and spend a little time catching up and helping all those people!
